Every student has the right to a school that allows them to develop based on their own conditions. SPSM operates schools on behalf of the state. We provide students with a learning environment that enables participation, learning, and development. We offer meaningful, stimulating, and important pedagogical work in our schools.

Hällsboskolan Kungsholmen in Stockholm welcomes students with severe language impairment from grade 2 to grade 10. Our teaching focuses on language and communication. The goal is for students to have the conditions to reach knowledge goals, be involved and active in various social contexts, and develop as individuals. We offer accommodations for students who cannot commute to school every day.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The curator's mission is to collaborate with school management, other student health personnel, as well as teachers and student assistants, to create the best possible conditions for students' health, development, and learning.

You will work proactively and preventively in collaboration with our other curator and social educator. The work also involves collaboration with students, guardians, school staff, and authorities outside the school. It also includes conducting various types of investigations, such as in cases of suspected bullying, problematic school absenteeism, and social assessments prior to admission to adapted primary school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree in behavioral science or a degree in social work.
• Has documented experience with language impairment and neuropsychiatric disorders.
• Has good knowledge of school law and the ability to navigate regulations and laws related to the school's responsibilities.
• Has the ability to conduct difficult conversations in an empathetic, professional, and solution-oriented manner.
• Has a good ability to express themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Has experience working with our target group: students with language impairment.
• Has worked in government operations.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have the ability to handle and investigate complex student cases.
• Have the ability to follow various authority processes.
• Are experienced in working with digital systems, such as ProRenata, W3D3, and V-klass.

You are independent and goal-oriented. Important qualities also include good judgment, attention to detail, and strong collaboration and communication skills.

OTHER

A probationary period of 6 months applies.

A criminal record extract must be presented before employment.
